The Electricity Generation Customer Choice and Competition Act was enacted in Pennsylvania in 1999. This bill enabled all consumers to shop for competitive electric supply service. However, as part of the plan, each utility was required to implement rate stabilization plans which capped supply rates for a period of time. When these capped prices expire in 2008-2011, varying by utility, customers face dramatic rate increases, as their "price to compare" is transitioned to more closely align with current market conditions. Due to this change in infrastructure, Patriot Energy is able to help customers in PA to reduce the perplexity of their pricing structures. From fixed price options to market-based rates, Patriot Energy is able to help solidify your understanding of your electric pricing structure and expectations.
